Jordan Haynes

 

Jordan Scott Haynes, a classically trained chef, earned his degree from the culinary and hospitality school Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas in 2010. Upon graduation, Jordan spent the first few years of his career working at high-end resorts and restaurants all across the country before settling down back home in Western Kentucky. Jordan learned to keep bees from his grandfather Walter Ryckert and from local legend Kent Williams. Walter’s memory and Kent’s friendship continue to be an inspiration in his career in beekeeping. Jordan has served as the treasurer of the Lake Barkley Beekeepers Association for the past three years. He is employed at The Bee Barn, a beekeeping supply store in Paducah, Kentucky, as its chief beekeeper. Depending on the time of year, Jordan manages anywhere from 50 production colonies to an additional 300+ nucleus colonies.
